Welcome to the September Salem Branch meeting. Presently I serve in the volunteer position of Willamette Valley Chapter VP of Programs…. One of my responsibilities is to understand what Educational, Training and Workshop sessions our membership and community require. Today we continue our Technical Change Management plan to understand..… # 1 The CCR system. # 2 Each PDU will need to be recognized within the new category # 3 The changes in the CAPM/PMP Certification Exams

Why are the CCR requirements changing ?? According to PMI Global’s market research, certification holder’s and organization’s feedback identified specific skill areas employers need now and in the future from project practitioners to deliver better results. These skills areas are represented in the PMI Talent Triangle. The CCR updates align professional development activities, specifically Education activities, with the PMI Talent Triangle.

PMI talent triangle sides defined BLUE SIDE = Technical Project Management: Knowledge, skills and behaviors related to specific domains of Project, Program and Portfolio Management. GREEN SIDE = Leadership: Knowledge, skills, behaviors specific to leadership-oriented skills that help an organization achieve its business goals. Renewal Requirements There are different renewal requirements for the Education and Giving Back categories based on the expiration date of the certification cycle. Please refer to the table below.

The minimum number of PDUs for Education activities increases and the maximum number of PDUs for activities that Give Back to the Profession decreases. It also provides direction for Education activities aligned with the three areas of focus for the PMI Talent Triangle. Education PDUs are as follows:

The five domains of practice for the PMP remain the same. However, tasks within each domain have been modified, added, or removed. Exam Content Outline is final. Please check that you refer to the document dated June 2015 to be sure you are referring to the updated version. Domain 1: Initiating the Project….3 tasks added – task 2, task 7, task 8 Domain 2: Planning the Project….1 task added – task 13 Domain 3: Executing the Project….2 tasks added – task 6, task 7 Domain 4: Monitoring and controlling the project….2 tasks added – task 6, task 7 Domain 5: Closing the project…..No new tasks added
