THE PREPARATION FOR THE CLINICAL RADIATION ONCOLOGY MEDICAL PHYSICS RESIDENCY TRAINING PROGRAMME-PHILIPPINE EXPERIENCE Lilian V. Rodriguez National Project Coordinator Clinical Radiation Oncology Medical Physics Residency Programme, Philippines QA set of procedures that the performance of the machine remain consistent within accepted tolerances throughout its clinical life Begin immediately after commissioning If QC tests identify departures from expected performance, corrective actions are required.

2 Introduction of ROMP to the Philippines
5th SEACOMP November , 2007 University of Santo Tomas Manila “IAEA-RCA Clinical Training Modules In Radiation Oncology Medical Physics” – A/Prof. John Drew “Experience in Piloting the IAEA ROMP Clinical Training Modules”- Dr. Anchali Krisanachinda

3 Why participate in piloting the ROMP?
Masters Degree program at USTGS was a project of IAEA. Recent graduates of the program are not allowed to practice by regulatory bodies without supervision or without proof of training Future regulations would include certification and residency
