4 RAMA © 2011 National Authority for Measurement and Evaluation National testing has included a component focusing on teaching practice and pedagogical setting (Meitzav) Policy initiative of teacher evaluation (appraisal) including all aspects of teaching practice “Avnei Rosha” – training principals to be leaders with emphasis on teaching and learning and promote a culture of data-based inquiry within schools Professional training of teachers based on videos: for teacher self reflection and to improve their practice; promoting a culture of transparency; involving peers in lesson analysis; encouraging discussion among teachers as part of their professional development The National Context
