W RITTEN A SSIGNMENT B RIEF You must participate in a mock recruitment process exercise for a nominated graduate position. This will include updating and tailoring a CV, writing a letter of application, application form, participating in a simulated interview and producing a reflective statement with action plan. Firstly, review the selected graduate recruitment programme. Identify and research the chosen position in detail and be prepared to ‘apply’ for the post. You will need to complete an application form, produce an up to date tailor-made CV and letter of application. A simulated individual interview for the position will take place before an interview panel. At the end, a decision on the successful candidate will be made, with feedback given to each candidate individually. The written element requires you to reflect on your performance at interview, considering what went well and what did not go well and why this might have been. You should consider any feedback given as to how well you demonstrated your transferable skills and if there was a deficit, consider better examples of competencies that you could have given. You should include an action plan on how you will approach job applications and interviews in the future. Your mark will be based on BOTH your performance at interview AND on your reflection and action plan. The weighting breakdown between interview and reflection are: 40% on the interview and 60% on the reflection. Word count: 1000 words.
