Cautions in Use 1. As PLUX-PBT is packed with moisture proof method in their conditions, please make sure to open it right before using it. 2. Please comply with the followings in using PLUX-PBT (1) Eliminate the resin from cylinder before and after the work. Particularly, eliminate the resin completely so as not to have some of it left in the cylinder, nozzles and hot runners. (2) Furthermore, when you cleanse the cylinder with other resins, use a transparent polystylene. (3) When you use the resin after having it opened for a long time, dry it in the dehumidifier an air exhauster under the condition as shown below before use. PLUX-PBT : 120 ℃ x 4 hours (4) When resin is exposed to open air with resin temperature lower than room temperature, the moisture on the surface of resin can be congealed. So keep the temperature of package the same with or higher than room temperature before use. Injection molding Condition Guide Take into account the following general Injection molding conditions. Applications Automotive The combination of high mechanical and electrical properties, good thermal stability and superior chemical resistance creates many automotive application opportunities for both PBT and PBT alloys. PBT can be found in both automotive exterior and interior parts and most particularly, in auto electrical system components. Typical examples include windshield wiper covers, mirror housings, cowl vents, handles, fans, fuel system components, connectors, sensor housings, fuse boxes, actuator cases, power relays, switches, motor components, and ignition system components. PBT alloys are most commonly used in body exterior and safety applications including airbag covers and containers brake and fuel line clips, cable liners, and power distribution boxes. Electrical & Electronics PBT Typical Applications Many grades of PBT designed for electrical and electronic parts have enabled innumerable applications in both signal and power uses. Among them are connectors, sensor housings, chip sockets, terminal boards, coil bobbins, transformer insulation, switches, circuit breakers, power sockets for modular building panels, motor end caps, brush holders and stator insulation, cable liners, and fiber optic buffer tubes. PBT Alloys Typical Applications PBT alloys have also been used in ruggedized connectors and switches and heavy-duty housings as well as in telephone line splice housings.

Applications Industrial PBT Typical Applications: Typically, industrial applications call for rugged parts capable of delivering long service life, often under harsh service conditions. Among the diverse examples for PBT are fluorescent lamp bases, street lamp reflectors, pump housings and impellers, filter media, monofilaments, and packaging components. PBT Alloys Typical Applications: With the added dimension of high toughness, PBT alloys have been employed in air filter housings, small off- road fuel tanks, tractor hoods and panels, power tool housings and conveyor chain components. Consumer Goods Many consumer applications have benefited from the versatility of PBT-based resins, particularly those calling for durability and involving some exposure to higher temperatures or electrical stresses, such as may commonly be found in small handheld appliances and tools. PBT Typical Applications: For PBT, typical applications include iron handles and bases, oven door handles, housings, motor brackets and closure panels. Because of its performance and appearance, PBT components can also be found on office furniture. PBT Alloys Typical Applications: Polyester alloys deliver toughness in such parts as are likely to be subject to impact and rough handling including appliance lids, closure and kick panels, covers, and seat backs and bottoms. In consumer recreation uses, PBT alloys appear in ski tops, ski boots, jet ski hulls and snowmobile and golf cart cowls.
