8  Traditionally mentoring projects in the seafood sector are not successful CRC is addressing this by offering formal opportunities for mentee and mentor face-to face contact Students, CRC Post Docs, Early Career Scientists and Industry Mentors have taken part in SIPP 2009! SIPP Retreat Details

10 1 -2 day specialist, focused workshops on generic topics 3 Master Classes conducted to date  283 people trained through these Master Class initiatives Master Classes

11 Seafood CRC Professional Diploma (Entrepreneurship) Provides skills and knowledge to commercialise new seafood product and technologies Helps test or turn a business idea into a reality Reduces risks and helps to work out the ROI for an idea Step-by-step support for the development of business plans. Entrepreneur Program

12 8 residential sessions over 8 months lasting 2-3 days Conducted by the University of Sunshine Coast, University of Adelaide and Curtin University and special guests Interactive course lectures and workshops on topics such as business planning, creative thinking, understanding finances, learning how to give an effective sales pitch etc. Entrepreneur Program
