2. 2 Chelmsford School District Program Overview Key Accomplishments Introduction of Quantum Leap (QL) cleaning technology & processes (Blue Cleaning) Established bi-weekly quality inspection tours with all principals All open positions have been filled and new custodians have completed Aramark training procedures APPA Quality Inspections indicate quality is trending up Re-investment of custodial equipment – district wide… APPA Inspections APPA is the Association of Physical Plant Administrators. APPA defines standards for housekeeping in institutions of higher learning as well as k-12 facilities. APPA Custodial Quality levels are as defined. 1.“Orderly Spotlessness” highest level of quality 2.“Ordinary Tidiness” areas perceive to be clean however marks, dust, smudges and fingerprints are noticeable with close inspection 3.“Casual Inattention” reflects staffing related concerns, build ups of dust dirt and stains are present during inspections 4.“Moderate Dinginess” floors reflect dull appearance, horizontal and vertical surfaces contain dust marks and fingerprints, less than 5% of lights are burnt out.
