4. Moving from Physical Science to Pre-IB Biology Recommendation requires a high “A” from 1 st Semester An override is required if student did not have high “A” Student may not be able to take IB Chem. if not in appropriate math class IB Chemistry Pre-Req. Algebra 2 Adv. or Pib Algebra Honors

5. Overrides  Change to higher level or add additional class  Any student may override a teacher’s recommendation…..  Unless the student does not have the necessary pre-requisite. ex. Not high enough math for IB Chemistry  Form from Counselor  Signed by student  Signed by parent  Student may not be able to move to a lower level due to room restrictions

6. Tracks that lead to Exams  Both IB and AP exams can earn students college credit and are taken after….  IB BIO 2, IB Chem 2, or IB Physics 2  All IB Diploma Candidates must take at least 1 Exam in Science

8. Pib Chem/Phys Pib BiologyIB Chem 1IB Chem 2 IB Chemistry Track This is simplest route to get to taking the IB Chemistry SL exam or the AP Chemistry exam SL exams can be taken as a junior or senior

9. Pib Chem/Phys Pib Biology IB Chem 1 or College Prep Chem IB Biology 2 IB Biology Track This is simplest route to get to taking the IB Biology HL exam or the AP Biology exam HL exams can be taken only as a senior IB Bio. / Chem 1 Semester

10. Pib Chem/Phys Pib BiologyIB Physics 1IB Physic 2 Physics Track This is simplest route to get to taking the IB Physics HL exam or the AP Physics exam Some Colleges expect a year long Chemistry course so some students will double up in science for a year to get IB Chemistry in.
