6  DOJ-SBA Small Business Goals  Small Business = 30% prime contracting, 40% sub-contracting  Small Disadvantaged = 5%, WOSB = 5%, SDVOSB = 3%, HUBZone = 3%  Small Business Requirement Thresholds  1) At or below $3,500 (micro-purchase level):  Small business set-asides considered, not required  2) $3,500 - $150,000 (micro-purchase to simplified acquisition threshold):  Reserved for small businesses. 7 Tips on Doing Business With DOJ Identifying Requirements 1.Register in the System for Award Management (SAM) and keep your profile current. 2.Make sure you select all appropriate business types (veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran owned, self-certified small disadvantaged business, etc.) 3.Make sure your profile includes all of the NAICS codes where your firm could realistically perform.
