Existing Fund Source/ Index Numbers Type of Project Project Number Tasks for the Project Type Finance Yes 77 & 88 series / P- Fund Code Capital Projects Each Existing Fund Source / Index is a Project Three Tasks for each Project – 1.Construction 2.Design 3.Admin Finance Yes 06 series - Includes Terms, True & Quasi / E – Fund Code Endowment Principals Each Endowment is a Project One Endowment Project with 2 tasks; 1.Endowment Principal 2.Endowment Operating (can be more than one if needed) Finance Yes 6 series / R index with Fund type 75 Endowment Operating Finance Yes 53 series / R Index with Fund Type 75 Gifts-Restricted One Project for each UDO Separate Task for every combination of Fund Type, and Activity for a Fund Source Finance Yes 05 series / L – Fund Code Loans One Project for each loan types e.g. Perkins, RULP Loans, Univ Loans (approx. 10) Each Loan /Fund Source / Index as a Task Departments Yes 28 series / R Index with Fund Type 04 RU Non-Spon Research (Startup Funds) Discretionary Each Existing Fund Source / Index is a Project One task for every Fund Type, Activity and location combination OR Purpose of the Fund Source / Index OR Tasks approved by Project Control Committee Departments NoN/A All Other (New Projects) Sequential System Generated Number

Requirements and Assumptions for Cross-Project Reporting Requirements For many non-sponsored Projects (fund source series 25/26/28), users wish to track related projects and projects Initiatives. e.g. Project 281234 may use some amount from grants project (4XXXXX) or Endowment Operating (64XXXX) or Gifts-Restricted (53XXXX) Assumptions: Rutgers is not able to map department activity 1, and department activity 2 to any segment in the new chart of account (COA). All the Integration Partners will be able to incorporate this additional Project field in Project string
