Privacy Settings- Profile Everyone This will allow everyone in the world to see information flagged with this option. Friend of Friends Only your friends and their friends will be able to see this information. Be warned it's not as small a circle of people as you may think. Only Friends The setting you will want to use most often as it provides control over your updates but still allows you to socialise with people you know. No One Use this to make sure certain information is shared with NO ONE Customise Select individual people to share information with. Useful if you want to share your email address with only one person or a very small group of people.

"Friend of Friends" option. This may seem like a small group of people but in reality anyone connected to a friend of yours will be able to see your updates, you can't control who your friends connect with!

Face book has recently given people the option to allow anyone in the world to Search for Face book Members. This setting is OFF by default. DO NOT turn it on, doing so will expose your name and some personal details to the world's search engines like Google Search and Microsoft Bing.

Face book pledges to investigate a complaint and to remove the content and warn or ban the offender from the site within 24 hours. If you email Face book you should get a reply within 72 hours telling you what they have done about the problem.

Never give out your real name Never tell anyone where you go to school Never give out your address or telephone number Tell an adult if someone makes inappropriate suggestions to you or makes you feel uncomfortable online Only meet someone from a chat room in a public place with one of your parents or another adult.
