8 Professional Code of Ethics We as Nurse Case Managers and Vocational Case Managers have a variety of National Certifications; CRCC, CCM, CDMS. Each of theses certifications are governed by a body which have specific CODE OF ETHICS, or CODE OF CONDUCT. As do Life Care Planners, OTs, PTs and Physicians have set criteria for their code of Ethics.

13 Company Responsibility If your company operates with a Certification such as URACC you should have in place company policy and procedures for the various tasks making up Case Management and they abide by the various ethical codes. i.e. the company I work for has a procedure set for security of records and method for destruction.

22 PA Earning power Assessments CRCC Code of Professional Ethics for Rehabilitation Counselors Excerpt: Section pertaining to the conduct of expert witnesses, with which Pennsylvania vocational experts must comply when performing earning power assessments. Sec. A.3.c. ” Indirect Service Provision. Rehabilitation counselors who are employed by third parties as case consultants or expert witnesses, and who engage in communication with the individual with a disability, will fully disclose to the individual with a disability and/or his or her designee their role and limits of their relationship. Communication includes all forms of written or oral interactions regardless of the type of communication tool used. When there is no pretense or intent to provide rehabilitation counseling services directly to the individual with a disability, and where there will be no communication, disclosure by the rehabilitation counselor is not required. When serving as case consultants or expert witnesses, rehabilitation counselors will provide unbiased, objective opinions. Rehabilitation counselors acting as expert witnesses will generate written documentation, either in the form of case notes or a report, as to their involvement and/or conclusions.”
