7. Will it cost investment returns? It depends… Ethical approach affects National Investing Bodies’ short-term performance but not long-term ability to generate required returns UK impact over last 11.5 years: -0.6% p.a. But over 3, 15 & 20 years Church Commissioners have beaten their annual long-term target return of RPI +5% Over all periods longer than 1 year, Church Commissioners have outperformed their peer group (WM All Funds)
