7 Federal Acquisition Service Transport Integrator (TPI) Rate Procurement DOs  Sign up for Email Notifications  http://www.gsa.gov/portal/category/21192 http://www.gsa.gov/portal/category/21192  Get your company approved as a GSA TSP  If you can log into TPI, you are already approved  Take the online rate procurement training  It is important your rate filers are adequately trained  Pay attention to due dates in the RFO  Opt in for Bid Cycles of interest before the bid response date  Open/close dates  Refer to TSP Rate Procurement Filing Instructions Guide (HelpDocs link in TPI Portal  Highlight editable columns on Excel Spreadsheet  Ensure rates are submitted in percentage for LTL and dollar & cents for TL and accessorials  Submit both line haul and accessorial rates for all RFOs of interest 7

8 Federal Acquisition Service Transport Integrator (TPI) Rate Procurement DON’Ts  Wait until the last minute (help, training, rate filing)  Use the wrong excel format  Leave formulas in excel spreadsheet prior to loading in TPI  Assume your company’s current rates will automatically roll over in TPI  Check all lanes after roll over for proper rates before submitting  Leave errors uncorrected during the upload process  Tips for how to handle are in the Rate Procurement Filing Instruction Guide and covered in training 8

9 Federal Acquisition Service Transportation Service Providers Reminders  New carriers cannot be on-boarded once procurement commences  You need not file for all the lanes  If you file for a lane, you are expected to service that lane if a load is tendered  Note the segmentation, once a segment closes you miss the window, segments can be different every year  If you do not Opt in for a segment, you cannot file, no exceptions  Finally, read the RFO carefully, changes can occur in scope, accesorials and STOS terms and conditions 9

12 Federal Acquisition Service TSP Performance Reminders  Service Standards  Ensure all contact data is correct in TPI  If a customer can not contact you for a possible load, that becomes a service failure for the TSP  Honor the rates you file  Engagement Model  GSA Freight Management Branch does not have any freight to offer to TSPs  You must call on each agency as you do in the commercial world  TPI is not a load board  Please make sure you are on our list serve  Industrial Funding Fee (IFF) 12

13 Federal Acquisition Service TSP Data Refresh  Updated Points of Contact  Improve communication between Customer Agencies and TSPs, as well as with GSA  TSPs who fail to provide updated information will be placed in an inactive status within TPI 13
