2 Learn About Mrs. Niemi 9 th year of teaching Highly qualified to teach K-12 special education, K-5 elementary, and 6 th grade ELA MSU alum x3 Girls on the Run Coach Member of OES RtI Team Mom of Lauren & Abe Teaching Philosophy I believe in creating relationships with students. This means I am a strong believer in creating a safe and caring classroom community where students feel that they can be risk-takers and take action in their own learning. I also believe in a Team mentality. Which means that you will often see and hear “Team Niemi” referenced throughout the school year.

11 Homework Math Homework page Read 30 minutes Inquiry In-class assignments that were not finished Grading Policy Not everything is “graded”, some assignments are used to give me information on students and my teaching. The focus should be on mastery of a concept or skill and not necessarily the grade. M=Meeting Standard P=Progressing Toward Standard I=Insufficient Progress Toward Standard Math tests will be kept in our Star Binders so I can reteach and students can reflect.
