Homework Daily Responsibility One Math assignment Monday – Thursday (approximately 10-15 minutes) One LA assignment Monday –Thursday (approximately 10-15 minutes) Per the Board of Ed. homework policy, 4 th graders are responsible for a total of 40 minutes of homework. The remaining 10-20 minutes should be devoted toward the completion of the long term assignments (book reports). Please support your child in managing the time and pacing for these projects by breaking down the assignment into manageable tasks that work within the schedules of your busy households. Any remaining time can also be used to practice spelling words and math facts. Student Planner – Important Tool! Please check your child’s planner Monday – Thursday. Weekly spelling words need to be entered when assigned (Day 1 of the new lesson) and then practiced every night. Reflected on Report Card Keep Us Informed!

Anticipated Field Trips 2015-2016 One trip to Hartford to The Bushnell Theater –approx. $20 (includes cost of ticket and bus) 14 th Annual Kite Day –at Salem School –funds generously provided by PTO
