2. Let’s activate your Key Account! Click the red button labeled Activate Account.

3. Before activating your Key Account, you will need the following information: Wake Tech ID Number Key Account Login Birthday First and Last Name New Password When you have gathered all of your information, scroll down to the bottom and click the red Activate Account button.

4. Enter your Wake Tech ID Number as a 7-digit number. Enter your Key Account Login (first initial, middle initial, last name) Enter your Birthday in XX/XX/XXXX format. Enter your full and legal first and last name. Enter a strong password. Your password must meet the following requirements: 1234567 Test Teststudent 02/20/1975titeststudent ******** An example of a strong password would be Thursday1. It’s longer than 8 characters, Thursday1 It has 1 uppercase letter, and 1 number. It meets the password requirements. Thursday1 When you have entered all of your information, click the Submit button.

5. Congratulations! You have successfully activated your Key Account. You can now access WebAdvisor to register for classes, and access your online classes in Blackboard. The next step is to activate your Windows Live Email. You must wait at least 24 hours after activating your Key Account before you can activate your Windows Live Email.

6. Now, let’s activate your Windows Live Email! First log into my.waketech.edu with your Key Account Login and Password. After logging in, look for the blue box that says Activate Windows Live Account. Click the blue button labeled Activate Your Account. Have you waited 24 hours?

7. 1234567 Test Teststudent titeststudent ******** Enter your Wake Tech ID Number. Enter your first and last name. Enter your Key Account Login and Password. The same Login and Password you use to log into My Wake Tech, WebAdvisor and Blackboard. Click the Submit button to proceed to Step 2.

8. Congratulations! You have completed Step 1. Click the Windows Live link to log into Windows Live.

9. Sign into your Windows Live account with the following formula: titeststudent@my.waketech.edu ******** Enter your email address and password. Don’t forget to add the period between the ‘my’ and ‘waketech’. Click the Sign in button.

10. If this is your first time logging in, you’ll need to verify your account. titeststudent@my.waketech.edu Enter your Password. ******** Select a security question and answer. If you have an alternate email address, you can use it here. Verify the rest of your information, and click the I Accept button.

11. To get to your inbox, click the Hotmail button. You have reached your inbox. Your Wake Tech email will be the main correspondence between you and your instructors. For more information about how to use your email, visit http://studenthelp.waketech.edu for video demonstrations on Windows Live.

12. To register for Wireless Access, first log into My Wake Tech. Then, click the Get Wireless Access button. Read the guidelines, and click the I Accept button. You are now registered for wireless access. You must now wait at least 30 - 45 minutes before you can access the wireless network.
