9. Enter your User ID. Your WebAdvisor User ID will be: first name + “dot” + last name (all lower case) (EX: John Doe = john.doe) Enter your Password. Your Password will initially be your six-digit date of birth (mmddyy). REMEMBER, changing your password in WebAdvisor DOES NOT automatically change your password in BlackBoard. 23. In this section, you’ll see the courses you’re registered for this semester. Let’s look more closely at one the classes we’re taking this semester by clicking on one of the courses in the list.

26. The “Staff Information” button gives you access to additional contact information and office hours of your instructor

27. The “Communication” link is a great way to work with other students in the class. This feature is especially helpful when working on group assignments or online classes.

28. Always remember to Logout of Blackboard when you are finished by simply clicking here. This is critical if you are using a public computer!

29. Do All Instructors Use Blackboard? How much you use Blackboard will depend on how much information your instructor makes available using this system. One of your instructors may only post a little information (i.e., your syllabus and chapter notes), while another may choose to post announcements, discussion groups, tests, grades, and many other features.

Your Username for WebMail will be your NC Email Address: username@nc.navarrocollege.edu Password: Year of your birth (four digits) and the last four digits of your Social Security Number (Ex: 1982 – year of birth, 1234 – last four of social would be: 19821234) NOTE: After clicking the SIGN IN button, you will likely be prompted to accept the terms of use and change your password.

36. As Always, please remember to logout when you are finished using WebMail Click “Compose Mail” to create a new message Since your Navarro College WebMail account is powered by Google (essentially Gmail), it is super easy to set up to receive email messages on your smartphone or tablet!
