Hebrews 3:18-4:11 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. 4 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. 3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: “So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest,’ ” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; 5 and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.” 6 Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, 7 again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.” 8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. 11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.

Romans 12:1–2 (NLT) And so, dear brothers and sisters,* I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.* 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Since one day is as one thousand years to the Lord, consider these 7 feasts as days. From Adam's sin until the Cross was approximately 4,000 years (4 days). From the Cross until the return of Messiah has been approximately 2,000 years (2 days). 4 days plus 2 days is 6 days. The 7th day is coming and it is a day of rest! Christ will be with us for 1,000 years (1 day) when He returns! Dr. Karl Coke

Hebrews 4:9  There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

Hebrew 3:15-19 (abridged) 15 …”Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”… 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

Hebrews 4: 1-6 (abridged) 1 …let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. 2 For we have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith. 3 NOW WE WHO HAVE BELIEVED ENTER THAT REST…and yet his work has been finished since the creation of the world…

Hebrews 4: 1-6 (abridged) …and yet his work has been finished since the creation of the world… 4 he has spoke about the SEVENTH DAY in these words: “And on the seventh day God rested from all his work…. 6 It remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience.

 It is the free gift of God Lest any man should boast

Hebrews 4:9-11 9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. 11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.

Growing length of the Sabbath  Textual clues from the Bible indicate that there is an ever increasing length of the Sabbath  Science states the same.

2 Peter 3:8 (NKJV) 8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Glory to glory  2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV)  18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever- increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

they are changed from glory to glory, even by the Spirit of the Lord: well may this be a mystery to the natural, for it is a mystery even to the spiritual man himself, a mystery which he cannot fathom. Does it not often dazzle your eyes, O ye children of God, to look at your own brightness, when the candle of the Lord shines out, and your redeemer lifts up the light of his blessed countenance upon your souls? Are not you astonished, when you feel the love of God shed abroad in your hearts by the Holy Ghost, and God holds out the golden scepter of his mercy, and bids you ask what you will, and it shall be given you? Does not that peace of God, which keeps and rules your hearts, surpass the utmost limits of your understandings? And is not the joy you feel unspeakable? Is it not full of glory? I am persuaded it is; and in your secret communion, when the Lord’s love flows in upon your souls, you are as it were swallowed up in, or, to use the apostle’s phrase, ‘filled with all the fullness of God’. Are not you ready to cry out with Solomon, ‘And will the Lord, indeed, dwell thus with men!’ How is it that we should be thus thy sons and daughters, O Lord God Almighty!  Whitefield, G. (1999). 17 Hard Work  Hebrews 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

“If we study the Epistle to the Hebrews carefully, we see that just as Moses led the Children of Israel to the Promised Land, so Yeshua (Jesus) leads us to our promised rest, which is the fulfillment of the Sabbath rest. He leads us to our final resting place. We are on a journey in which our physical life has to be lived, but in which we are to look forward to the final objective of our heavenly home. Just as through our physical journey, like the Children of Israel, we are to apply God's teaching (His Torah) to become holy people–the main objective is to grow in faith for our final resting place in our heavenly home. We are warned that we must not fail in this important issue:” Clifford Denton

Hebrews 4:8-11 8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. 11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.

Philippians 4:7 (NKJV) 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
