Early Jobs In 1917, Elias acquired shares in the O-Zell jelly factory in Chicago and moved his family back to the city Walt moved back to Kansas City to begin his artistic career. Decided on a career as a newspaper artist, drawing political caricatures or comic strips. Walt a temporary job through a bank colleague where he created advertisements for newspapers, magazines, and movie theaters. He met cartoonist Ubbee Iwerks and when their time at the studio expired, they decided to start their own commercial company together

Methods of Becoming Wealthy Pooled money and set up cartoon studio in Hollywood with a friend Slowly created more and more characters, including Oswald the Lucky Rabbit Lost rights to Oswald and designed Mickey Mouse Mickey’s popularity skyrocketed in the early 1930s (still popular today… signs of a good businessman)
