2 Understanding biblical stewardship A. Biblical Stewardship begins with Jesus in the Gospels and runs all through the NT but it really begins in the Heart. It includes all gifts. Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good… For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. Matt. 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

3 Understanding biblical stewardship B. Paul the Apostle said we are Stewards of the mysteries of God. 1 Cor. 4:1,2 1Cor 4:1,2 Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.

4 Understanding biblical stewardship C. Learning to live in biblical steward-ship is one of God’s keys that each believer needs to come to under-stand and believe. It’s a part of our New Covenant. Jesus is Generous! D. A key element in carrying out God’s Kingdom and helping His kingdom grow…is our stewardship of what God has given us.

5 Living in a Culture of Stewardship – 7 Key Truths 1.God owns everything! Ps 24:1 Deut 10:14 Ps 50:10-11 2.God provides the ability to get wealth. Deut 8:18 Luke 6:38 3.God wants us to have financial peace. Phil 4:19 2 Cor. 9:8 4.We can have peace, no matter how much we have if we are submitted to God.

6 Living in a Culture of Stewardship 5.Jesus shows us by His teaching financial stewardship reveals the priorities of our hearts and spiritual maturity. 6.Jesus calls us to follow him and that includes being free of the love of money and a cheerfulness in giving. 7.In everything give thanks to God for what we have! I Thess. 6:16-18 A Culture of Stewardship.
