Case 1 : HMEP 3 El Hospital María de Especialidades Pediátricas (HMEP), will provide services to the pediatric population with the purpose of improving the quality of life of thousands of hondurean children that cannot obtain treatment for complex pathologies that require specialized care, this as a result of the lack of the required infrastructure in Honduras. To solve this the Hondurean government commissioned the Amigos del Hospital María Foundation the task of fully managing the HMEP facility.

4. Overview Hospital María’s construction started in 2000, with a cost of over 30 million dolars under the supervision of the Maria Foundation, a non profit organization, and with an the financing of 15 million euros provided in 2006 by the Italian Government to cover the cost of all equipment required to ge this hospital up and running. As part of the equipment for this facility, a state of the art, integrated seurity system will be put in place to protect this important investment. 4

7. Cas2 2 : C.S.S. Multi part project to provide a flexible, scalable and integrated security solution to the Social Security Institute of Panama, including: CCTV, Access Control, Visitor Management, and future integration with Fire detection and intrusion. Includes the integration of over 200 sites: administrative, laboratories, clinics hospitals. The first phase of this project is being finalized, second phase will start in July 2012

8. Overview The Social Security Institute, founded 72 years ago, is the sole government agency in charge of social security in Panama. They have facilities all over the country: administrative buildings, hospitals, clinics, drug stores and laboratories which have being targets of robbery, vandalism, theft, and other attacks to the CSS’s infrastructure. Added to this, the high volume of visitors and eployees comming in and out off all these sites, makes it necesary to add a more efficient control and registration system.
