LIFE UNDER GOD’S MANAGEMENT Erika F Puni, PhD Stewardship Ministries Director General Conference

1.That Adventist youth, irrespective of their religious upbringing, orientation, and environment, have an inner desire and yearning for spiritual things. 2. That Adventist young people have a natural bent towards good works, and doing good. YOUTH REALITIES TODAY

1.To provide a Biblical framework that will help Adventist youth understand the work of God in spiritual development and growth. 2.To develop a transformational model that highlights the dynamic relationship between personal values and behavior. WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE 1.Humans are created after the “image” of God (Genesis 1:27). 2.The Spirit of God prompts, and help us to do good (John 14:16; Romans 8:26). 3.Our human nature is unspiritual, and we’re naturally bad (Romans 7:14). 4.Human nature is sinful and evil (Romans 7:17,19).

THE CHRISTIAN DILEMMA 1.We have good intentions, and we want to do the right thing (Romans 7:15,18). 2.But the more we try, the more we end up doing the opposite; and we constantly fail (Romans 7:17,19). “For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do - this I keep on doing.” Romans 7:19 (NIV)

A BIBLICAL CASE STUDY 1.No-one is good; only God is good (Matthews 19:17). 2.The Law (10 Commandments) cannot save (Matthew 19:20). 3.Material wealth and/or money cannot save (Matthew 19:21,22). 4.Only Jesus (Savior and Lord) saves (Matthew 19:21). (Matthew 19:16-21)

KINGDOM MANAGEMENT “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 (NIV) Kingdom management takes place when we allow Jesus to be the governing and controlling force and value in our lives 24/7.
