6  Undergraduate Research Award (UGR): Expand the pool of applicants by engaging under- represented populations at affiliate campuses Increase the award amount Increase the number of students from two year colleges applying for and receiving UGR awards To increase retention in STEM fields, offer UGR awards to first and second year students

7  Research Infrastructure Program (RIP): Fund at least one collaborative (inter-institutional) research project each year Expand the program to include collaborations between two-and four-year institutions for mentored research of undergraduates Fund at least one trip to a NASA Center each year for a researcher to develop collaborations with NASA Center personnel

8 UGR: 2015-2016 Budget Allocation for UGR is $24,000 6 Awards at $4,000 each RIP: For 2015-2016 Budget Allocation for RIP is $45,000 4 awards at $10,000 each 1 minor Award at $5,000
