5 PROCESS TOWARDS SATURATION
Demand generated through Special Gram Sabha Survey done by SPs, RDAs and PDAs Massive awareness generation involving PRIs, ASHAs, Schools, NGOs, VWSCs and other stake holders Involvement of GP, GP owning the programme. Vital decision of Gram Panchayat to construct toilet from their fund The field functionaries like RDAs/PDAs/SPs involved in supervision and monitoring Regular field visits by the Gram Panchayats 7. Panchayat declared their ward as ODF and subsequently Gram Panchayat in a special Gram Sabha declared the GP as ODF

Support from Social Audit Teams Construction of IHHL on Mission Mode with specific deadlines targeted Ambitious goal to achieve target by December 2015 2013:Construction commenced 2015: 4346 toilets constructed by December 2015: ODF District Declared Declaration of ODF well ahead of projected target of October 2nd 2019

Villages – Every Second and Fourth Saturday GP has to do cleanliness and sanitation program.(Notified) Local Associations – Voluntary participation in cleaning public premises Schools – Talk on sanitation topic every morning during school assembly Offices – Compulsory cleanliness of office premises on second Saturdays after 2 pm, regular Greenathons/Walkathons (Photographs at DAC Namchi South Sikkim Facebook page)

Make the GP manage their solid waste themselves/a step towards zero waste. Converting waste into wealth through RRC Transforming GP into Swatch Gram Panchayat. Initiatives Assistance from NGP prize money constructed the RRC purchased a Resource Recovery Vehicle Levy Collection Charges Outcomes Project generating 5 lakhs pa Swatch Gram Panchayat
