7 Example questions and how you can help See parent booklet Encourage children to underline the important information (e.g. more, less, altogether, half) and discuss what these words mean Encourage children to break down the numbers into tens and ones Encourage the children to spot the relationship between numbers E.g. 7 + 3 = 10 so 70 + 30 = 100

18 How you can help Please do not worry! The tests are new this year and much harder than before If the children do not pass the test it doesn’t matter They continue with their friends into year 3 and additional afternoon interventions will be put in place to help them
