Introduction It occurs when manufacturers export a product to another country at a price either below the price charged in its home market, or in quantities that cannot be explained through normal market competition. Many governments take action against dumping in order to defend their domestic industries.

15. On June 23 of 2008, on the application of 4 enterprises, Korean Trade Commission decided to hold an anti-dumping investigation against imported ceramics tiles from China. Value involved in the case amounted to US$8.66 million, which was the biggest anti-dumping case in recent years by Korea against China. After a year of confrontation, the Korean ceramics enterprises responding to the subject of Korea’s ceramic tile anti-dumping case was finally settled.
