4 AASE - NATIONAL PERSPECTIVE Sports Performance Programme for talented young athletes aged 16- 19 Led and delivered by the NGB - it provides a structured training and development route for athletes

5 Designed to directly measure the athlete’s ability to plan, apply and evaluate their development in the appropriate aspects of their sport: AASE - NATIONAL PERSPECTIVE It also addresses: Lifestyle Career Development Communication/ Media Skills Health and Safety Technical Tactical Physical Nutrition Psychological Delivered in conjunction with athletes existing education

6 AASE - QUALIFICATIONS- COMPONENTS Certificate in Achieving Excellence in Sports Performance Plan, Apply and Evaluate Technical Tactical Physical Nutritional Mental / Psychological Lifestyle Career and Finance Communication & Media Health & Safety Certificate in Understanding Sports Performance Understand to Achieve Excellence How to manage career H & S at venues Technical skills Tactical skills Physical capability Nutrition to achieve Mental skills and attitude Lifestyle to achieve Communication & teamwork Plus- GCSE in Maths and English, A*-C or Level 2 Functional Skills- Numeracy & Literacy

7 NAGS ACADEMY COMPONENTS FEBRUARY 2014 to MARCH 2015 Programme delivery is 14 months Centralised Camps x 5 per cycle = 16 Days In School Holidays Regionalised Technical and Tactical Delivery at Sub- Regional Centres -locations TBC - Circa 20 sessions @ 2 hours per session

8 Worked with 13 NGBs on AASE over 6 years Developed a range of bespoke delivery models for a variety of sports Worked with a number of similar team sports (Rugby League, England Netball, Women’s FA) Recently graded Outstanding by OFSTED (February 2013) Elite Athlete Tutors – past and current knowledge of elite sport and performance.
