How to Write an Invitation What your invitation looks like it up to you, but a more attractive invitation will spend more time in someone’s life as a decoration/reminder. Your invitation should include the following information: 1) Names of party hosts or sponsoring organization. 2) Type of event (birthday party, business networking meeting, etc.). 3) Place. 4) Date. 5) Time.
3
6) RSVP date and phone number. 7) Any special dress requirements from black-tie to bathing suits. 8) Rain date (if applicable). 9) Be specific about who is invited, whether addressee only, with guest, or with spouse and children. 10) If gifts are expected, you could define where to get the gifts (i.e. a gift registry) or you could name the kind of gifts to give (e.g. in lieu of gifts, where to send donations). This depends on the type/theme of your gathering.

Tips on Invitations Always send written invitations for formal events such as business gatherings, formal dinners, and special occasions like showers, weddings or events honoring someone. If guests are not from your local area, include a map to location of event. Send anywhere from 8 - 2 weeks in advance depending on formality of occasion. Weddings require the longest lead-time; casual dinners and brunches require the least.

How to Prepare a Menu Well written menus stay true to the theme or atmosphere that the restaurant/food provider is trying to portray. Your menu should make an impression on your audience, and reflect the meal’s theme. Remember your audience! The content, size of the font, shape of the menu, etc. all should reflect your target audience. Your menu should have divisions (at least: appetizers, main course, and dessert), and should have a drinks list as well.

How to Write a Recipe 1)Ingredients List: Your ingredients should have amounts attached (in cups, ounces, grams or spoon sizes). For things like fruit and vegetables, you could put for example, medium sized onion. If you don’t know just count in pinches, or handfuls 2) Name your recipe. It will be good to have personalized recipe names. 3) If some of the ingredients are hard to come by in this country, you may like to offer an alternative, fresh spices for dried for instance. 4) Directions should be very specific, but easy to follow. 5) Cooking times and temperatures should be included.
