CICoaches.com and CICoach, Inc. are not liable for ANY intended or unintended outcomes that result from the use of this or any other CICoaches.com template Effort/Impact Commentary Effort/Impact overview: The Effort Impact template allows individuals and teams to quickly visualize and prioritize solution options generated during brainstorming sessions. While not as objective as other tools, Effort Impact saves time and brings focus to solutions. Why use & benefits: When used properly, Effort Impact will provide a visual representation of solutions. Additionally, teams can see quick wins vs. longer term solutions. How to use: Individuals and/or project teams can brainstorm solution ideas to address root cause, ideally on post-its. Once generated, solutions can be placed in the respective quadrant that corresponds with the Effort and Impact required to implement that solution. Allowing 30-45 minutes typically allows for proper prioritization and discussion. CICoaches.com perspective This is a great tool when you are pressed for time. While not scientific and statistical by nature, the simplicity of the tool is appreciated by many. We’ve color coded the quadrants to aid in the discussion of which solutions can be tackled immediately and which may take more time and effort. Please note, not all solutions should be taken forward even if they are easy to implement. Our final thoughts...placing a solution near a line does not make it any more or less impactful or require more effort than any other solutions falling in that quadrant.
