 Las Vegas is the perfect travel destination for all of you because of the excellent selection of hotels, variety of shows, and fabulous restaurants. Las Vegas has over 75 hotels with various themes and activities. It also offers shows for the entire family. Some shows cost money while many of the shows are every hour and are free for the public. Since we love to try new restaurants, Las Vegas is perfect place to eat at a world famous restaurant! Of all the wonderful places to travel, Las Vegas is a perfect fit for everyone!

 In 1931 the state of Nevada legalized gambling because it was profitable for local businesses. Then in 1935, the Hoover Dam has finished its construction and was able to supply energy to local cities and Las Vegas was one of the first customers. In 1940 the U.S. Route 95 was extended which allowed several other cities easy access to Las Vegas. The Las Vegas that everyone knows today really started in 1990 with the opening of the first “mega resort” of Rio and Excalibur.

 Las Vegas could probably be considered the number two “city that doesn’t sleep,” with New York City ranking as number one. New York definitely takes the cake on biggest population, coming in with 8.4 million compared to Vegas’ 603,488. Although the cities differ greatly in population, they both are considered the highest populated cities in their states. Both cities are jam-packed with activities for all members of the family. That being said, in contrast, most of what Las Vegas has to offer is catered, or build for, more of an adult audience. There are similarities and differences with these cities, but both Las Vegas and New York City are electrifying.

 June 8 th, 9 th, & 10 th  This is a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday  These dates were chosen because the rates for hotel rooms are cheaper than if we went on a weekend  Also the summer months are an ideal time to travel to Las Vegas because it is warm enough to sit by the hotel pool

 Bob and Joe first got a taxi to take to the airport for their flight to Las Vegas. They then had to wait in the long line for the security checkpoint. After they made it through the security they went to the nearest restaurant to eat breakfast. Next, they walked over to their gate. Shortly after that they were called to start loading the airplane. After about three hours the plane landed in Las Vegas! Bob and Joe then gave each other a high-five and exited the plane. Lastly, they waited in the taxi line to take them to the Flamingo Hotel where they were staying.

 Most of the attractions are close enough that we will be able to walk to each of them  For any destinations that are farther than walking on foot then we will take a taxi or buy a monorail ticket  Monorail tickets are $12 for a 24-hour pass or $5 for a single ride  Taxi prices are $3.30 for initial pickup and then $2.60 for each additional mile

 Bob and Joe had a horrible trip to Las Vegas, which resulted in them returning home to Alabama with no money and no luggage. As soon as they got off the plane, Joe ran straight to a slot machine. Consequently, he lost $200 before even they even got their luggage from baggage claim. Since Joe felt he needed to win it back, they promptly headed to the hotel, dropped off their bags, and went straight back out to the casino to gamble more. Because he said he was feeling lucky, they spent the next 23 hours in the casino. Joe not only lost all of his money, but Bob also lost all but $20 of his. Due to them needing money to eat, pay for their hotel room, and take a taxi to the airport the next day, they started selling all their belongings. By the time they landed back home in Alabama, all they had were the clothes on their backs and memories of an awful trip to Las Vegas.
