History Initial funding - proceeds from the 1903 Army-Navy Football Game held at Franklin Field, Philadelphia Navy’s share of the purse was $9,000 President Theodore Roosevelt and SECNAV William H. Mission & Vision To provide financial, educational, and other need-based assistance to active-duty and retired Sailors and Marines, their eligible family members, and survivors. As a non-profit, volunteer service organization, we use both financial and non-financial resources to identify solutions to meet emerging needs. Emergency Leave MAKING A DIFFERENCE FOR SAILORS, MARINES AND THEIR FAMILIES www.nmcrs.org We need to see the following: ID card Leave Papers* Flight Itinerary Red Cross Message** *If leave is pending, contact information of an E7 or above approving the leave request is acceptable. **If no Red Cross message is available, NMCRS can verify the situation through other methods. After-Hours Assistance is available for Emergency Leave! Call (877) 272-7337.

Quick Assist Loan (QAL) Only the service member is eligible for QAL Interest free, pay back over 3 to 10 months Assistance up to $500 Must have ID and recent LES Must be in good standing with your service No recent/pending monetary disciplinary action No outstanding loans with NMCRS Those ineligible for QAL may be able to receive assistance through normal casework.
