AN IDEAL AUDIENCE
2
FELIX And after some days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was Jewish, he sent for Paul and heard him concerning the faith in Christ. Now as he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was afraid and answered, “Go away for now; when I have a convenient time I will call for you.” (Acts 24:24-25)

STEPHEN’S “You stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you....” When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth.... Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. Acts 7:51, 54-57

PENTECOSTIANS Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” (Acts 2:37) Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. (Acts 2:41)

ETHIOPIAN EUNUCH And he said, “How can I [understand], unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him. Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” (Acts 8:31, 36)

CORNELIUS & OTHERS “So I sent to you immediately, and you have done well to come. Now therefore, we are all present before God, to hear all the things commanded you by God.” (Acts 10:33) “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? (Romans 10:13- 14)...in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel. (Romans 2:16) “For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.” (Acts 20:27) While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” (Matthew 17:5) Is this your attitude ?
