To provide a forum to learn of new techniques, equipment, and products related to gas-lift wells.

May 16 - 20, 2016 2016 Gas-Lift Workshop, Houston, Texas3 Gas-Lift Workshop Vision The information exchanged in the forum will lead to new and better operational techniques and will help identify the need for new products and services for the operation of gas-lift wells. This will lead to increased success for both the gas- lift well operators and suppliers of products and equipment.

May 16 - 20, 2016 2016 Gas-Lift Workshop, Houston, Texas4 General Chairman Jim Hall, Brunei Shell Petroleum Jim is a Production Technologist specializing in all aspects of continuous flow gas lift engineering and operations, downhole data acquisition, and well testing. Jim is currently the Principal Technical Expert for Artificial Lift in Shell, and the resident artificial lift specialist for Brunei Shell Petroleum. A Graduate of Nicholls State University, Jim has worked in all facets of the oil production industry: construction, maintenance, operation, automation, measurement, research and development, production technology and training. Jim is married to Pam, a glass and tile mosaic artist and together, have two sons, Mike and Craig…neither of whom are in the Oil Industry.

May 16 - 20, 2016 2016 Gas-Lift Workshop, Houston, Texas5 Keynote Speaker Dave Carpenter, Shell International EP Dave is experienced in waterflood, heavy oil, steam flood, artificial lift research, HPHT gas, and CO 2 flooding. More recently, he was Well Technology and Production Technology Discipline Advisor for Shell Deepwater in New Orleans. Dave’s current role is Production Technology Global Discipline Head for Shell. His first recollection of Cleon Dunham was when he was working in California on gas-lift wells and a loud guy in the back of the room called to ask why he wasn’t using the SCADA tools. Neither of Dave’s sons work in the Petroleum industry.
