The e-journal subject collections of Springer offers our end-users access to a wide range of eJournals with the advantage of direct access and full-text browsing for the users, less administrative work for the library and a fixed annual fee. The same holds for Springer’s eBook subject collections and Springer Protocols. Springer Journals, Protocols and eBooks are indexed in databases, such as Google & PubMed, both very popular search engines to our end-users, The ownership model Springer offers for the eBooks is important to us. Our (book) collection is unique in the Netherlands and serves as a reference collection in the field of oncology and cancer research. The expectations about Springer Protocols is reflected in the usage statistics during the trial period. Several monographs of the Methods in Molecular Biology and Methods in Molecular Medicine series have been purchased over the years and the library received frequent requests for these titles and recently published volumes.
