2.  There are 4 types of chemical reactions. 1. Synthesis Reaction 2. Decomposition Reaction 3. Single Replacement Reaction 4. Double Replacement Reaction

3.  Two or more substances combining to form 1 new substance.  Will always have 1 product and 2 or more reactants.

4.  One substance breaks down into two or more substances.  Will always have just 1 reactant and 2 or more products.

5.  An uncombined element replaces an element that is in a compound.  Will always have a single element and a compound in the reactants and the products.

6.  Different atoms in two different compounds trade places.  Will always have two compounds in the reactants and the products.
