4. Risk Management Risk management considers the potential and perceived risk involved in student events and programs. It includes monitoring organization activities and taking both proactive action and corrective steps to minimize accidental injury and/or loss.

5. Types of Risk Risk is any issue that impacts an organization’s ability to meet its goals and objectives; Types of RISK: financial, physical, reputational, environmental, etc.

6. Risk Management for CSI When planning social events, initiation ceremonies and workshops make sure the event is planned and monitored with risk management in mind. Monitor attendees and report to a chapter officer if you feel they are a possible risk to themselves or other attendees, or if there is a compliance issue.

7. Alcohol & Drugs POLICY STATEMEN: The University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA) is committed to having a campus that is free of the illegal or abusive use of drugs and alcohol. Hazing The term “hazing” means any intentional, knowing, or reckless act, occurring on or off the campus of an educational institution, by one person alone or acting with others, directed against a student, that endangers the mental or physical health or safety of a student for the purpose of pledging, being initiated into, affiliating with, holding office in, or maintaining membership in an organization.

13. Prohibition of Hazing Hazing in state educational institutions is prohibited by both state law (Sections 51.936 & 37.151 et seq., Texas Education Code) and by the Rules and Regulations of The Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, Series: 50101, Section 2.8).
