2 2 At the local level, the chapter is the backbone and the spearhead of the Fellowship in carrying out God's great world shaking end –time revival It is in the chapter meeting that:  People share testimonies of what God has done in their lives  Lives are changed as the claims of Christ are presented  Hundreds and thousands gather in a loving Spirit of Christian fellowship (SUPER ALTS page 11)

3 To identify the core components of running a power packed meeting To effectively communicate core ingredients of running a Power packed meeting To appreciate that the success of the vision depends on how well we run our meetings 3

4 The Chapter provides the platform and the Meetings the vehicle for the work. These Meetings include;  Regular Chapter meeting  Fasting and Prayer meeting  Business meeting  Outreach(Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner) meeting  Chapter Committee meeting  Chapter Executive meeting TYPES OF MEETING

5  Well Planned Meeting Agenda  Proper Choice of Meeting Functionaries  Effective Emceeing  Inspiring Testimonies  Powerful Ministrations Power-Packed MEETING COMPONENTS

6 Any Successful Endeavor Is A Product Of Extensive, Careful Planning –  Have a well planned programme  Speaker contacted at least three months in advance and confirm availability by email or letter.  Prepare attractive invitation cards and distribute to target audience at least one month ahead.  Every member to be actively involved PRE-MEETING PLANNING

7  Meeting Venue must have good ambience  Call a meeting of the Chapter Executive one week before the meeting –To pray, plan and prepare (distribute roles etc.)  Involve members in prayer chains.  Develop a check list to make certain that 1000 little things are done properly. (SUPER ALTS II pp 83-85.) PRE-MEETING PLANNING

8 Meeting Agenda is planned and assignments well defined ahead of the meeting. Agenda is operated professionally and flows smoothly Guests are cordially greeted and made to feel very welcome by hosts On the day of the meeting all officers and committee chairmen should be present thirty minutes before time of meeting 8 Power-Packed MEETING

9 All relevant materials; complimentary Voice and Literature, Membership Application Forms, First Timers’ Forms, Decision Cards, Prayer Request Forms etc. are readily available Have prayer with the men and the speaker 10 to 30minutes before meeting The men are seated at the Head Table 5minutes before the meeting commences Ask someone to pray and offer thanks for the meal (if it is a meal function) 9 Power-Packed MEETING

10 Before they seat ask people to introduce themselves to one another Meal to be served immediately under soft music (if it is a meal function) Meeting starts on time and ends on time Testimonies are well articulated and delivered with precision Announcements are clear, informative and brief. Calls for salvation and membership intention are given clearly Christian fellowship has occurred and needs are met. 10 Power-Packed MEETING

11 In your group, draft a meeting agenda for an FGBMFI dinner, lunch or breakfast meeting. Apportion time for each item on the agenda Share your agenda at a plenary session

12 Welcome and Opening prayer Warmly greet one another and enjoy the meal Introduction of the Service/Head Table Functionaries & Recognition of First timers Sharing the Vision of the Fellowship Promotion of Voice Magazine First Testifier Giving Testimony (Offerings to be taken with guests seated, using offering bags; No hats, no cups or plate and no singing. Soft instrumentals music can be used) Main Testifier Call for Salvation & Other Ministrations Call for Membership Intention Announcements Closing prayer 12

13 Is prayed-up, prepared and punctual Is sensitive to the Holy Spirit and follows His leading Is personable, poised and professional Works in unity and harmony with the guest speaker. Orients the speaker with the Chapter and the meeting agenda (It is expected that he has been in contact with the speaker ahead to pray together) Keeps meeting flowing decently and in order Intervenes in problem areas as they arise. He is responsible for control and order during the meeting.

14 He must be knowledgeable in the operations of the fellowship Must have good platform presence Must have a pleasant voice and a good diction Must have warm, kind and cheerful demeanor The choice of an effective emcee should not be compromised. He is a thermostat REGULATING the mood of the meeting under the leading of the Holy Spirit. And not a thermometer that REFLECTS the mood of the meeting

15 He must be properly prayed up Should tell his story in clear terms within the stipulated time Should prepare his testimony well ahead of time and present it in a way that will captivate the audience Should avoid mannerisms Should avoid ambiguity and exaggerations Should avoid preaching 15 TESTIFIER

16 The Speaker must be full of the Holy Spirit Must share the Word along with his Personal testimonies Must make calls for Salvation, Holy Spirit Baptism and minister to the needs of the people He should also keep to the stipulated time 16 MAIN TESTIFIER (Speaker)

20 –Follow up on guests –Ensure that the appropriate committee handles the following responsibilities: –A letter thanking them for attending –A phone call to tell them how much their presence was appreciated –A personal visit to their homes where practicable –Prayer for each guest mentioning their names 20 Power-Packed MEETING Post Meeting Management
