You will be provided a copy of the Formula Sheet. –Please review the Formula Sheet before the exam, but do not bring a copy to the exam. You may use a scientific or graphing calculator.

Exam 2 Binary Number System –Be able to count from 0 to 15 (0000 to 1111) in Binary (Base 2) –Be able to convert numbers from Binary (Base 2) to Decimal (Base 10).

Exam 2 Digital Logic Gates Know the logic operations performed by the Logic Gates –NOT –AND –OR –XOR –NAND –NOR

Exam 2 Know the Truth Table for each of the Logic Gates Be able to analyze a logic diagram –Given the input 0s and 1s, determine if the output is a 0 or a 1.

Exam 2 Operational Amplifier Be able to analyze Op-Amp Circuits with negative feedback by applying the two rules for Op-Amp Circuits –Zero Current into the input terminals (Infinite input impedance) –Zero Voltage difference between the input terminals (Virtual Short)

Exam 2 Be able to recognize the standard Op- Amp Circuits and apply the appropriate gain equations –Inverting Amplifier –Non-inverting Amplifier –Voltage Follower –Summing Amplifier –Difference Amplifier Be able to find the overall gain for cascaded amplifiers

Exam 2 Capacitors –Current – Voltage Relationship –Energy Storage –Rule #1: Cannot change the voltage across a capacitor instantaneously –Rule #2: For DC Steady-state, the capacitor looks like an open circuit
