The Mayflower Compact was signed in this future state

The Declaration of Independence declared us separate from this country

These are the three natural rights listed in the Declaration

He wrote the Declaration of Independence

These should be given to every person alive just for being human

This is the theory that we give up some of our freedoms in order to have a government to protect our natural rights

This was why the people had such a fear of giving the national government too much power

These two branches of government were not included in the Articles of Confederation

The Northwest Territory was divided up into 6 mile by 6 mile areas called these

This act gave settlers of the Northwest Territory freedom of religion, trial by jury, and prohibited slavery

Under the Articles of Confederation, the national government had no powers to do this

This was the southernmost colony

Shays’ Rebellion was fought by these people after falling into financial troubles following the war

This man was one of Washington’s most dedicated aides, an economic genius, and the unfortunate victim of a fatal duel

Shays’ Rebellion occurred in this state

This founding father, along with Thomas Jefferson, died 50 years to the day from the signing of the Declaration of Independence
