From “as-designed” to “as-delivered”, configuration baselines retain links to original requirements. Of particular interest is the “Validate” phase – design for support criteria are captured through design evolution, and represented as a configuration here, with full associativity to all product information. Traditional disconnect occurs when product is delivered. The “as-delivered” and “as-maintained” configurations typically become disconnected from previous configurations, and from themselves.
