What is the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR)? Annual report produced by TEA that includes state, district, and school level data Data disaggregated by: – Ethnicity – Economically Disadvantaged – English Language Learner – Special Education 2

Why a Public Hearing? Required by Texas Education Code Chapter 39, Sec. 39.056. This requirement includes that each district’s board of trustees publish an annual report that includes the TAPR. A public hearing must be held within 90 days of release (released November 16, 2015) and notification to the public must be given. 3

District Performance Highlights Improvement in Phase-In Standard and Post- Secondary Readiness performance in all subjects except writing from 2013-14 to 2014-15 Increase in attendance from 94.8% to 95.1% for 2012-13 to 2013-14 Increase in the number of students tested on SAT from 59.8% to 97.6% for Class of 2013 to Class of 2014 5
