19 Dual Award Then… Enrol with a CIM Accredited Study Centre A list of over 300 study centres world-wide can be found on the CIM website A choice of study modes…part-time, intensive & online, distance learning etc. Assessment is by work-based assignments and you should be employed in a responsible marketing capacity in order to complete these.

20 Dual Award Next steps… Take CIM Assessments Study for and pass the 2 CIM units Enter for CIM Assessments Register for your CIM assessments online CIM Membership Register with CIM as a studying member using Dual Award form

21 Dual Award Register as a CIM studying member  You need to register as a CIM studying member (affiliate membership is awarded). There is only one way to register: Post Complete and return the application form in back of the Dual Award registration booklet.

You may register for assessments in two ways:  Post Complete and return the paper Assessment entry form given to you by your tutor

23 Dual Award Register for CIM Assessments  Your study centre will inform you which units to enter for  There are 4 assessment sessions a year: March, June, September, December. You must register for your assessments before the deadline. December 2012 Exam week 4-5 Dec 2012 Results to students 1 March 2013 Certificates released Up to 12 weeks after 24 February Closing date for registration (paper) 28 Sept 2012 Closing date for registration (Online ) 5 October 2012

24 Dual Award Register for CPD CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development Free programme for CIM members – framework and incentive to record training  Proof that your knowledge is up-to-date  First step towards achieving Chartered Marketer status  As a studying member you get 35 hours of CPD credit per year just for studying your qualification. But…  Registration for CPD is not automatic you must either tick the CPD box when you register online as a CIM member or sign up at www.cim.co.uk/cpd or fill in the paper application form You can’t claim CPD retrospectively so don’t forget to sign up at the start of your coursewww.cim.co.uk/cpd
