16 Extension A rate is a ratio that compares two quantities, one of which can be an amount of time. Name a commonly used rate!

17 Activity Scale Models: In your group, create a scale model of the classroom on an 8 ½ x 11, sheet of paper. You must shrink down at least 5 items in the classroom. You may do this from a “birds eye view” On your own sheet of paper write down all of your calculations and the scale your group chooses to use. You will turn this sheet of paper in for your portfolio.

18 Before you leave class… You should have: – A copy of the syllabus – A parent letter – A parent contact information sheet ( bonus points!) – Turned in your index information card – Completed your guided notes – Completed the activity and saved it for your portfolio
