9 Research degree graduates In the past, graduate research was undertaken by those seeking a career in academia. Many graduate researchers complement their project with work as a tutor or research assistant. Training for ‘graduate researchers who teach’ is offered in Graduate Research Development activities.

11 The Monash Doctoral Program The advanced training that is part of the Monash Doctoral Program ensures you graduate with a breadth and depth of skills. The mode of this training is determined by your Faculty and/or program. Coursework mode Minimum 2 units targeting research methods and/or subject matter breadth Professional Development mode Minimum 120 hours targeting general and discipline-specific skills Interdisciplinary mode Specialised programs that bring together different Faculties with industry
