Smart, Safe & Connected 12  Tags have small form factor to make them easy to wear in a variety of options, such as  Wrist or arm strap  Lanyard around neck  Clipped to belt  Shoulder epaulette  Optional TGUARD tag protector to prevent accidental call button presses Wearing the tags

Smart, Safe & Connected 13 Extronics Advance solutions can combine RTLS and zone mapping technology, using the same software and hardware to deliver better accuracy, value for money, and scalability.  Real time location system, or RTLS  Uses triangulation to locate the exact position of tagged personnel

Smart, Safe & Connected 14  Zone mapping or choke point system  Knows in which zone a particular person is by controlling all entry and exit points for each zone  Exciter-based  Tag messages picked up by access points or exciters with built-in tag receivers

Smart, Safe & Connected 15 How does RTLS work ? RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) varies at each Access Point, hence personnel location is achieved by triangulation

Smart, Safe & Connected 16 How does zone mapping work?  Exciter floods an area with 125 KHz RF field configurable between 0.5-6.5 meters radius  Once a tag enters the exciter field, the tag will be forced to send a signal carrying both the tag and the exciter IDs  This message is received receiver(s) near by, and the signal is sent to MobileView software  The software knows the location of the exciter on the map and will place the asset/tag next to that location

Smart, Safe & Connected 17 Entry/exit and direction of travel  The software knows which excited message is received first, and thus the direction in which the tag is travelling A B

Smart, Safe & Connected 18 Muster points  The excited tag’s message is picked up by an access point or exciter with tag receiver

Smart, Safe & Connected 19 Powerful MobileView software  Location information displayed in flexible, configurable, web-based MobileView platform; can also be viewed on a smartphone or tablet  Optional high availability architecture  Open API for potential integration with third party systems such as access control, CCTV, and more  An integration with Lenel for access control is already available

Smart, Safe & Connected 20 Optional iSHIELD Lone Worker Protection  Use with Android smartphones and tablets  Automatically or manually raises an alert if the worker suffers an impact, fall, or unexpectedly stops moving  Highly configurable to individual workflows  GPS tracking system and minimal power consumption make it highly practical  Integrates with MobileView software for centralised visibility

Smart, Safe & Connected 25  Condition monitoring of muster points Ensure that muster points are not compromised by safety breaches, such as fire, using temperature monitoring tags  Mass site evacuation No need for personnel to swipe out, tap a reader, or use narrow gateways – scalable wide range of exciters makes evacuation quicker, easier, and reduces bottlenecks  Reduce potential for safety incidents Use friend/foe configurable events to receive alert if any tagged assets that should not mix, such as acid/alkali, are in proximity to each other. Alternatively, use the escort events for assets that should travel together, and receive alerts if they are split up

Smart, Safe & Connected 26 Use case: Worker location and evacuation monitoring

Smart, Safe & Connected 27  A large, complex, offshore development with numerous multi- level structures. Some are linked by bridges, with helicopter landing pads and vessel docking bays too.  Our customer needed to ensure the safety of their workers in both normal operations and in emergency situation  Wanted a modern solution rather than old, manual methods  Presence of hazardous areas and offshore location required certified, rugged equipment Where and why?

Smart, Safe & Connected 28 Zonal tracking system to locate workers on each level Exciters also used in transitional entry/exit areas like bridges, stairwells, ladders Designated muster points with certified exciters Wi-Fi infrastructure assessed Location information displayed in MobileView software ATEX and IECEx approved Active RFID Wi-Fi tags carried by workers iWAP107 Wi-Fi access point enclosures to relay tag messages to MobileView

Smart, Safe & Connected 30 Use case: Critical area management

Smart, Safe & Connected 31  A line of cruise ships travelling around the world, carrying up to 2,720 passengers each  The engine rooms have CO2 fire suppression systems, which extinguish a fire quickly but could suffocate any person in the room when activated  Workers moving in and out of engine room continually  Fire is the biggest danger on a ship; manual methods of checking if the engine room was clear before suppressing a fire were too slow and too risky Where and why?

Smart, Safe & Connected 32 Location information displayed in MobileView software Tag messages sent to MobileView via Wi-Fi Active RFID Wi-Fi tags carried by workers Exciters at the engine room doors to determine direction of travel (into or out of danger) Extra safeguard with people-counting camera integrated into MobileView – alert raised if discrepancies in numbers, to prevent tailgating

Smart, Safe & Connected 33  Crew can quickly and remotely check if any employees are inside the engine room  No need to put other crew members at risk to check and human error minimised  Suppression system can be activated more rapidly, potentially saving the ship and her passengers  Camera adds security – if unauthorised person without a tag enters the engine room, an alert is raised Value

Smart, Safe & Connected 34 Use case: Worker location

Smart, Safe & Connected 35  Large multi-level chemical processing plant with over 50 workers plus external contractors  Chemical leaks mean fine powder spreads quickly through the atmosphere, severely restricting visibility and posing risk of suffocation  Difficult to locate personnel under these conditions - system needed to identify which floor people were on, and in which room, to direct emergency response teams Where and why?

Smart, Safe & Connected 36 Tag messages sent to MobileView via Wi-Fi Active RFID Wi-Fi tags carried by workers – a mixture of safe area T2 tags and intrinsically safe iTAG100 tags Location information and alert details displayed in MobileView software Both tag types have call buttons so workers can request help if a leak or other emergency occurs

Smart, Safe & Connected 37  Workers can be located across the site  Potential productivity improvements can be identified  At-risk personnel can be swiftly found and help sent directly to the right place  No time wasted searching wrong area or manually checking areas with low visibility, and alerts can be raised more quickly with tag call buttons  Reduced risk to rescue parties Value
