Ironing ◦ Test the corner of your fabric before you use the iron to be you sure have it on the right TEMPERATURE SETTINGS. When pressing or ironing use a PRESS CLOTH to prevent the fabric from melting or getting marks. ◦ Which fiber can be ironed on the highest setting? ◦ Which fibers should be ironed on the lowest setting? ◦ What is the difference between pressing and ironing?

Buttons ◦ Buttons can be working buttons, meaning there is a buttonhole, or they can be sewn on as a decorative embellishment. If you are using a buttonhole, The button hole should always be made BEFORE attaching the button on the opposing side. Use this formula to determine the length of a buttonhole: ◦ BUTTON DIAMETER + DEPTH OR THIKNESS= LENGTH OF BUTTON HOLE
