7.  Three distinct levels of rigor are offered in courses at WLHS.  All levels offer content and skill development appropriate for students preparing to attend college.  Students are encouraged to request enrollment in the most demanding courses of which they are capable, as the challenge of rigorous coursework provides the greatest opportunity to build solid academic skills.

8.  Level I  Advanced Placement (AP) and Early College Experience (ECE)  Courses are characterized by fast-paced instruction, project-based work, and in-depth research  Courses offered at this level expect students to:  be independent learners  Complete extensive out-of-class reading and writing  Take the AP Exam (requires a fee)

23.  The Advisory Program at WLHS is built into all students’ schedules  Advisory provides a more personalized learning environment for students with an additional adult in the building  Advisory provides lessons for college and career readiness  The ELO or Extended Learning Opportunity program gives students multiple opportunities for students to earn credit outside of school through hands-on experiences – certain criteria are needed
