Our Message Secretary Clinton: Thank you for your concern for the welfare of our Sudanese brothers and sisters. Because of your past commitment, tremendous progress has been made to prevent the violence and suffering that have plagued Sudan and South Sudan. I urge you to maintain and intensify your ongoing efforts to protect the progress made through the Comprehensive Peace Agreement for Sudan. Please ensure that the Administration is engaged in every way possible with the governments of Sudan and South Sudan and with important partner countries and regional bodies to prevent a return to war, to end attacks on civilians, and to protect the basic rights of the Sudanese people, including the freedom of movement and access to humanitarian aid.
