3 1 Application Partners for Success Teacher Recruitment commences when you submit an Application for Teacher Employment or a Teacher Transfer Application (Permanent Employees only). The Partners for Success Recruitment Coordination Team will identify you by your nominated Region/Geographic/School Locations. Once you have been identified you will be contacted by one of the P4S Recruitment Coordination Team and invited to submit a Partners for Success Application via Smart Jobs & Careers.Smart Jobs & Careers The Partners for Success Application consists of: General Applicant Information Partners for Success Questionnaire Resume Further information regarding Partners for Success Teacher Recruitment can be accessed via the Partners for Success webpage.Partners for Success

4 Before you are able to submit your Partners for Success Application, you are required to complete a Partners for Success Questionnaire. The Partners for Success Questionnaire provides all relevant information necessary to best evaluate your Partners for Success Application and match you to your location/s of preference. The Questionnaire consists of: Personal Details Partners for Success Information Statements Location Preferences A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document has been developed to assist you complete the Partners for Success Questionnaire. The FAQs document can be accessed via the Partners for Success webpage..Partners for Success 2 Questionnaire

5 After successfully submitted your Partners for Success Application and Questionnaire via Smart Jobs & Careers, the Department of Education & Training will undertake Partners for Success Validation to ensure all information required has been received. If additional information is required to support your Partners for Success Application, you will be contacted by the P4S Recruitment Coordination Team. Partners for Success Validation also ensures that Partners for Success Applicants have previously submitted their Application for Teacher Employment or Teacher Transfer Application ensuring that all quality control mechanisms have been completed. Applicants - If you haven’t already completed your Application for Teacher Employment you will find relevant information via the Make a difference. Teach website.Make a difference. Teach website Permanent Employee - If you have completed your Teacher Transfer Application you will need to log into MyHR Recruitment to access the Teacher Transfer Portal.MyHR Recruitment 3 Validation

6 4 Location Match After the Partners for Success Validation process is completed and you have been recommended for consideration in a Partners for Success Location, the P4S Recruitment Coordination Team aligns current identified Partners for Success vacancies to those locations in which you nominated when completing your Partners for Success Questionnaire. If there are no current vacancies identified in your locations of choice, a P4S Recruitment Coordination Representative will be in contact to discuss alternative options for your consideration. Should you wish to review your current nominated locations you are able to amend your Partners for Success Application via Smart Jobs & Careers ‘My applications’ page.Smart Jobs & Careers

7 5 School Fit Once your Partners for Success Application has been successfully validated and Location matched, your Partners for Success Application then undertakes a Partners for Success School Fit process. The Partners for Success School Fit process consists of representatives from within the School Leadership Team, School Committees, School Community, etc. This panel of representatives consider 4 key areas to determine Partners for Success School Fit, but are not limited to: Teaching expertise Ability to live in a remote community and follow protocols e.g. Alcohol Management Plan Partnerships with community Ability to be a team member and work as part of a team

8 6 Employment Offer After achieving Partners for Success School Fit a Partners for Success Representative will make contact with you to discuss teacher placement opportunities or provide feedback regarding your Partners for Success Application. The offering of Partners for Success teaching positions will occur as positions become available. These positions may be of permanent or temporary status. At the time of your employment offer details regarding relocation, remote area incentives and housing options will be provided to you to ensure relocation goes as smoothly as possible. 9 7 Take Up Duty Upon commencing duty, you will undergo Partners for Success School Orientation and mandatory Departmental Induction. Mandatory induction for teachers includes the following: Code of conduct & ethical decision-making Student protection Health & safety Information management – as specified in induction planners Emergency management and fire safety Internal controls Curriculum risk assessment If you are a beginning teacher who has provisional registration with fewer than 200 days teaching experience and are permanently employed or on a term-long contract you will be matched with a mentor. Mentors regularly engage with the beginning teachers providing feedback and support, sharing ideas and encouraging reflection, development and growth.
